Rio de Janeiro is voted the sexiest gay destination on the planet

Rio de Janeiro has once again won the title of sexiest gay destination in the world. The city competed for the TripOutTravel website award, a world reference in gay tourism.

Rio won the dispute with Madrid, in Spain; Portland, United States; St. Tropez, France; Stockholm, Sweden; and Buenos Aires, in Argentina, with 48% of the votes. This is the second year in a row that the city has won the title.

"The title only reinforces that tourists from all over the world and from all tribes are well received in Rio de Janeiro. We have done a lot of work to attract more and more gay people. It is an important market, which generates billions of dollars annually with trips, an audience that has everything to do with the nature of the city, which is welcoming, hospitable and festive. And in Rio, all the tribes coexist very well, so they are always very well received and feel at home", he celebrates. the Special Secretary of Tourism and president of Riotur, Antonio Pedro Figueira de Mello.

It is worth remembering that in addition to the two victories as the sexiest gay destination, in 2009 Rio won as the best gay destination on the planet.
