Rio de Janeiro launches entrepreneurship programs for the LGBTQIA+ community in search of inclusion and economic development

The City of Rio de Janeiro announced an unprecedented initiative aimed at training people from the LGBTQIA+ community. The proposal consists of offering entrepreneurship courses with the aim of boosting social inclusion and economic development for this population.

In the current context of March 13, 2024, public policies aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion are more necessary than ever. Therefore, the City of Rio decided to invest in training the LGBTQIA+ community in entrepreneurship, an activity that has the potential to transform lives, generate income and reverse the cycle of exclusion to which this population is often subjected.

Entrepreneurship courses aim to teach techniques and strategies for opening and managing a business successfully. The reach of the courses is not just restricted to the capital of Rio, but extends to all regions of the state, which reflects the City Hall's concern not to leave any community without assistance.
