An example of this is the singer Roberta Miranda, an icon of the genre, and very private when it comes to her personal life. In a recent interview with Veja, the artist was once again questioned about her sexuality, and the rumors that she was bisexual. “I come from a very polite, angry family, my mother, my father and my brothers always stayed on top of me for everything. At the very beginning of my career, I swore under my mother's bedside that my personal life would be up to me alone, and I fulfilled it”, declared Roberta, who said she still did not feel “bothered” by questions about her sexual orientation. “One day Hebe Camargo asked if I was homosexual, I replied: 'Hebe, I am what you want me to be'. I have nothing against anything. I'll repeat: I'm not heterosexual, I'm not homosexual, I'm not bi, I'm not tri! I'm past the labeling phase. Those who eat everything don’t feel like it”, concluded Miranda, leaving answers to the magazine’s question up in the air.
