Rod Stewart reveals that his 7-year-old son likes to wear dresses and he approves

One of the most important names in the history of world pop rock, singer Rod Stewart gave a revealing interview to the pages of Event magazine, in which he spoke a little about his relationship with his family, and said that his 7-year-old son likes to wear clothes feminine.

"My seven-year-old son made a paper ring and gave it to his girlfriend," began the celebrity. "But he's like me, a great romantic," he said. "He's been dressing like a lady and I wanted to buy him a nice outfit for Christmas, but Penn said 'don't encourage him'."

Penn, or Penny Lancaster, is the current wife of Rod Stewart, with whom the artist has been married since 2007 and they are parents to two children, Aiden Patrick, the youngest.

"I saw a lot of kids dress up as girls when they were little, it doesn't mean anything. And anyway, if he's gay, so what? We need gay men in the world," added the musician, highlighting that he encourages his son to be whoever he wants to be.

It is appropriate to highlight that Rod Stewart began his career alongside gay blues musician Long John Baldry in the 1970s and, among others, was a personal friend of Freddie Mercury.
