Rogéria, the most famous transvestite in Brazil, will join the cast of "Lado a Lado", the 18pm soap opera on TV Globo.
The cutie will make a special appearance in seven chapters of the plot. Rogéria will be the mother of the character Diva Celeste (Maria Padilha). The invitation came from the author João Ximenes Braga himself.
In 2013, Rogéria, who began her career as a makeup artist at the now defunct TV Rio, turns 70 years old and has almost 50 years of career. Unlike other transvestites, who opted for sex change surgery, Rogéria was always happy with her body.
"People think I'm transsexual, that I've had surgery, but I say I don't have a woman's head, I'm a man and I haven't had any surgery. I never had any pretensions of being a woman, I like to pass as a woman. I love being a man, I love it. Being Astolfo Barroso Pinto, I still have a dick. Basically, it's an acting job, that's very enjoyable for me", said Mr. Astolfo.
