The new coronavirus pandemic may have prevented Hollywood from continuing its series and film productions – but that doesn't stop new ideas from emerging.
The screenwriter and producer Ryan Murphy, known for advancing LGBT representation with series such as Glee (Fox), pose (FX) and American Horror Story (FX), announced a derivative of AHS, American Horror Stories.
In a post on Instagram, the series creator stated that the spin-off will contain one-hour episodes with autonomous stories, different from the AHS, in which each season brings a story.
“[Filming on the new series begins] When we start filming the next season of the mothership… and other things I can’t say,” he wrote in the caption.
The announcement was made to the actors of AHS via Zoom conversation – Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Basset, Finn Wittrock and Cody Fern were some of those present.
“It was so fun and I'm glad we caught up. I miss everyone!”
