Find out which LGBT productions are competing for the 2015 Emmy

As has become increasingly popular in recent years, the 2015 Emmys – which take place on September 20th – feature several productions with LGBT content competing in the biggest categories on North American television.

Starting with the series Grace and Frankie, which talks about two women who divorce after their husbands came out as gay, which gave the actress Lily Tomlin a nomination in the best comedy actress category.

The series Transparent, which talks about the transgender issue within a family, has no less than 11 nominations, as well as best comedy series, best comedy actor (Jefrey Tambor) and best supporting actress in a comedy (Gaby Hoffmann).

The Netflix series Orange is the New Black, which particularly appeals to women, is also in the running. She is up for best drama series, best supporting actress (Uso Aduba), best guest actor (Pablo Schreiber).

The already traditional Modern Family competes in the awards for best supporting actor (Ty Burrel) and best comedy actress (Julie Bowen).

The fans are also cheering for series that also address the LGBT issue: as well as Game of Thrones (which competes for best drama series, supporting actress in a drama, supporting actor in a drama).

And the last season of Americana Horror Story: Freak Show – which featured a transsexual actress in the cast – which is nominated for best miniseries, best actress in a miniseries (Jessica Lange) and best actor in a miniseries (Denis O'Hare and Finn Witrrock). It's crossing your fingers...
