Find out which are the worst Brazilian states for women, LGBT and black people to live

As much as the fame is of a welcoming country, prejudice is a reality in Brazil. Violence against women, black people and LGBT people – and other populations – is widespread and every day news involves such crimes.

+ "Homophobia and racism have the same DNA"

The Brasil Post website organized a chart with the worst Brazilian states for LGBT (lesbian, gay bisexual, transvestites, transsexuals) women and black people to live in, based on research that reflects discrimination.

The Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea) reports that the possibility of a young black person being a victim of homicide is 3,7 times greater than that of a white person. And that 15 women are murdered as victims of feminicide every 90 minutes.

+ Find out when homophobia also affects heterosexuals

As for the survey in relation to gays, according to the report released by the GGB (Grupo Gay da Bahia), an LGBT person is the victim of a prejudice crime every 28 hours – or 312 murders in 2013 alone.
