Carnival in Rio had a very lively year, if the parties weren't overcrowded, Rua Farme de Amoedo, the blocks and the beaches were quite full.
The main game started on Saturday, with the Ipanema band, which toured the neighborhood from 18pm. Lots of boiling, riding and high-octane entertainment.
Also in the early afternoon, the first Pool Party by Rosane Amaral. The party took place at the Clube Internacional de Regatas and hosted DJ Paulo, from Los Angeles. The guy, who is an ace, played a perfect set. There were lots of beautiful people on the track, in fact, it was the circuit's biggest parties that had the best attendance in the city. Already after 1 am, the performance of French porn star Fraçois Sagat took place.
On the same night the The Week He threw his first party. At the entrance, those who had the club's Black card were informed that the night's attraction, DJ Peter Rauhofer, would not be attending. In his place, DJ Phil Romano was chosen, who was scheduled to perform on Monday. The night started with a great set by DJ Flávio Lima. Next it was Phil's turn, who was unable to maintain the Brazilian's level.
Sunday was the turn of bitch. The party rocked Fundição Progresso, in Lapa. Lots of queues to buy tickets, drink tokens and in the bathrooms. The first track involved all rhythms, including axé. In the cauldron, the sound was heavier, but still, it didn't stray from pop. In terms of the stage structure, there is nothing new. Some LEDs and light cannons. At around 3am, Offer Nissim arrived on the scene and did a typical set, playing several of his productions and swaying incessantly throughout the night. The public loves it. After him, DJ Robix played a set lasting just over 40 minutes and the party ended before 7am.
Monday happened again The Week, this time, on a much better night. Good crowd and good music. Chris Cox killed it, with just the right vocals and several tributes to his diva Whitney Houston. The party also featured a performance by The Week Dancers. For those who wanted to escape the club game, Farme was also packed, with music playing and lots of kisses on the lips.
On Tuesday, ending the festivities, there was the second edition of Pool Party at the Regatas Club. As it is the only open-air party in the city during the season, Pool has a different atmosphere, much lighter and more fun. DJ Thierry, one of the party's residents, also went with this lighter approach and did a great set. Next it was the turn of the North American duo Dave & Gerardo. The cuties also did very well and kept the dance floor lively until the middle of the night. Everyone wants to enjoy the last party of Rio Carnival to the fullest.
