Sam Smith decided to change the title and release date of his new album.
The 27-year-old British singer announced this Monday (30), on Twitter, that amid the COVID-19 pandemic, it is not the right time to debut a new album, especially one that was previously called To Die For (“to die”, in free translation into Portuguese).
Smith said that the decision was made after “a lot of reflection” and that he will take advantage of the postponement to continue working on the album – and will announce the new title and release date soon. “But don’t worry, there will be an album this year,” he promised.
“Thank you for always being by my side, for your understanding and patience. I always want to do right by you,” she concluded.
