Sapataria 24hs, a newly created community on Orkut, is holding its sixth meeting this Saturday, January 30th.
Bringing together a very eclectic group of women, the community has gained prominence for transferring the relaxed atmosphere of internet topics to monthly meetings. “Personally, the girls only confirm the affinities that emerge on Orkut”, explains photographer Eliana D'Amore, Eli, creator and owner of the community.
For this first meeting in 2010, the community chose a place reserved especially for the event. “The great demand for meetings ended up leading to this. We started with bars and now we will have a party of our own, with live music and lots of relaxation”, promises Eli.
The party takes place at the Sinhá restaurant, in Pinheiros, from 21pm. According to Eli, you don't need to be a member of the community to participate. “Everyone who arrives is well received. This is what sets our meetings apart and the main reason why the community has grown so quickly in such a short time.”
