Scissor Sisters tops list of the fifty gayest albums published by gay magazine Attitude

The August edition of the English gay magazine Attitude, which hit newsstands this week, features a special edition “The Musica Issue”. With the music theme, the magazine decided to choose the fifty gayest albums of all time. “What exactly is a gay album? It's difficult to define as an exact science, but there are certain tonal sensibilities in music that speak directly to the homo hearts of all of us”, explains the article about the election process. To the surprise of some, first place went to the album Scissor Sister, released by the New York band Scissor Sister in 2004. The album is also a favorite of David Furnish, Elton John's husband. “The Scissor Sisters were brilliant in managing to bring back the fun and hedonism of the 70s, but in a refreshing and modern way”, argued the filmmaker. In second place went to Arrival, by Abba. Followed by Vauxhall and I, by Morrisey, in third, Light Years, by Kylie Minogue, in fourth position and, in fifth, Older by George Michael. In the election process, compilations, such as Abba's Greatest Hits, by Abba, nor more than one album per artist were accepted, otherwise only Madonna would occupy most of the positions, right? And speaking of divas, they weren't very successful. Among those who had an album on the list are Christina Aguilera, with Stripped (37th); Diana Ross, Daiana (34th); Cher, Believe (31st); Barbara Streisand, Guilty (28th); Judy Garland, Judy At Carnegie Hall (17th); Donna Summer, Bad Girls (9th); Madonna, Erótica (7th) and Kylie Minogue, Light Years (4th).
