Second Life Brasil promotes first gay parade

Militants promoted the first Second Life Brasil Gay Parade on Thursday 28th. With peaks of 36 simultaneous users, a number considered excellent by the program's standards, the event brought together avatars (your “self” on the computer) from the gay public on Gomorrah Island, one of Second Life's Brazilian territories.

The parade was promoted by the NGO GLS Brasil. Following the royal parades to the letter, rainbow flags, a stage were installed, and DJs, gogo boys and drag queens were invited. According to Kicha Lubitsch (avatar name), one of the organizers, the NGO has 355 members in the real world. “If everyone comes, the island won’t be able to handle it,” she told Estadão shortly before the party started.

The party lasted more than an hour and the organization stated that it will hold the virtual parade every year and also announced the construction of an exclusive space for homosexuals on Gomorrah Island, with a bar, sauna and motel.
