Nowadays, the term “colorful friendship” or “friendship with benefits” has become quite common among young people. In short, they would be friends who would permeate the bonds of friendship, “strengthening” it with sexual relations.
There are those who like it and those who dislike it. For many, it would disrupt friendship, others, however, believe that having sex with friends would not disrupt existing ties.
Research coordinated by Heidi Reeder, from the Department of Communication at Boise State University, in the United States, states that having sex with friends “strengthens friendship”.

The study analyzed a group of 300 people made up of men and women to find out whether they had ever had sex with friends. Twenty percent of those interviewed said that at some point in their lives they had made out with a friend. Among those who said “yes”, 76% say that the friendship improved after intimacy.
The research also wanted to know how the friendship was after the exchange of intimacy. Surprisingly, some enjoyed sex so much that they started a relationship, of which 50% remained together until the study was completed.
