“Be yourself”, says Christina Aguilera to young gays

Singer Christina Aguilera is the latest celebrity to join the North American campaign "It Gets Better", which has alerted society to the problem of bullying in US schools.

In her statement, Aguilera sends an optimistic message to young gays. "To anyone who feels like an outsider, I want to say this: Don't let the bigots win. Be yourself and don't let words get you down. Be well today. With your help, we can do this," said the singer.

It is worth remembering that Aguilera herself is the victim of a media campaign that accuses her of being a lesbian. According to the tabloids, the singer, while married to Jordan Bratman, had meetings with women with her ex-husband's consent. To date, Aguilera has not commented on the rumors.
