Brasília Gay Parade Week brings film screenings, seminars and lots of parties

Next Sunday (18/09) it will be Brasília's turn to hold its Gay Parade. From 14pm onwards, the Parada leaves the eixão towards the Plano Piloto Bus Station. With the theme "Disapprove of Homophobia, a Lesson in Citizenship", the Parade features several events throughout the week, including a film screening, a seminar and, of course, lots of partying.

Since Monday (12/09) the LGBT Film Show has been taking place at the Cut Auditorium. The feature films "A Mentira", "In a Better World" and "My Mothers and My Father" will be shown. Entry is free.

This Wednesday (14/09) the Seminar "Homophobic Bullying – Causes and Consequences" will be held in the Dois Candangos Auditorium, starting at 19pm. Parliamentarians and academics will debate bullying in the lives of the LGBT community.

The parties will be intense. The lively Let's Club hosts a party for girls on Friday (16/09) with a show by Raphaella. Also on Friday there will be a warm-up for the Blackout party at Termas Soho.

Saturday (17/09), during the day, there is the Feijoada Beneficente from Grupo Estruturação at the O Curral restaurant. Livening up Saturday, there is a 4 X 4 band show and a draw for 60 prizes. At night is the official day of the Parade at APCEF. The Fun label is downloaded there. The line-up includes DJs Flávio Lima, Andre Queiroz, Grá Ferreira and Thiago Vibe.

Sunday (18/09), after the Parade, the Who Knows?! party takes place. at the Glow Lounge. Rozy Acioli and Paolo Telo play. And at Termas Soho there is Bye Bye Blackout. All parties will have part of the proceeds allocated to the Parade.
