If you're not interested in Netflix's new teen drama series Elite, you're missing out on what's being described as the new Gossip Girl. And that includes a steamy gay storyline between Omar and Ander that has LGBTQ fans all over the world.
But since we can't have anything nice for gays, it's no surprise that the criticism has already started to arrive. Homophobes took to social media to express their disgust with the series and its diversity. After posting a scene of Ander and Omar on Instagram, Netflix received some hateful comments.
“Get this shit off my Instagram. Not one person on the planet is gay. You’re pushing too hard,” commented one user, @judas_priest12321.
But Netflix, as always, decided to give a beautiful answer. The streaming platform responded to the comment with a sea of rainbow emojis, and wrote: "sorry, I couldn't read your comment while I was surrounded by all these beautiful rainbows."
