The series “Ó Pai, Ó”, which premieres this Friday (31) on TV Globo, will feature fun and emblematic gay characters. The six-episode story is based on the film by Monique Gardenberg and stars Lázaro Ramos.
In the series, actress Tânia Toko plays the character Neusão da Rocha, who according to the synopsis is a “stiff dyke, always involved with the stories of the tenement residents, who frequent her bar and take her as a confidant. Due to the friendship she has for everyone, she sells on credit and lives with cash problems”. Actor Lyu Arisson plays Yolanda, “bold, naughty and sharp-tongued transvestite, lives behind Reginaldo (Érico Brás)”.
“Ó Pai, Ó” revolves around the lives of the residents of a tenement in the historic center of Salvador, where the owner of the property is Joana (Luciana Souza), a blessed woman who gives no peace and takes care of everyone's lives.
Monique Gardenberg, who directs the program, has already warned that “several serious issues will be treated with a lot of humor, in a light way. Such as the lack of vacancies in public hospitals and the adoption of children by homosexual couples”.
“Ó Pai, Ó” airs every Friday after “Globo Repórter”.
