The LGBT community has been growing in recent decades, thanks to the achievement of rights. Always known as encompassing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people (hence LGBT), British activist, from the website The Gay UK, states that the new acronym is now “LGBTQQICAPF2K+”.
For the site, this change, which has been happening since the 1990s, is to meet the “need to move away from the limiting gay community and encompass any community that defines itself as anything but heterosexual or cis.”
