SP: Festival with free entry will feature films and plays about sexuality and prejudice

From Thursday (25th), the Itaú Cultural space, in São Paulo, will host the exhibition "All Genres – Poetics of Sexuality", with free entry.

The program features theatrical shows and performances by artists from different areas, as well as films and debates. All presentations revolve around issues related to gender, desire, sex and prejudice.

Right at the premiere, on Thursday (25), the films "Vestido de Laerte" (photo on the side) and "Dzi Croquettes" will be shown. The first, by Claudia Priscilla and Pedro Marques, shows cartoonist Laerte traveling a long way through the city of São Paulo in search of a certificate.

The second is a documentary by Tatiana Issa and Raphael Alvarez that rescues the trajectory of the actors/dancers who became symbols of the counterculture by confronting the dictatorship in Brazil through irony and intelligence.

In the evening, at 20pm, the dance show "Travesqueens" will be presented, with Ricardo Marinelli and Erivelto Viana. Next it's time for "Uma Flor de Dama", with Silvero Pereira, which shows the actor's work on stage, who researched the universe of transvestites in Ceará for eight years.

The exhibition also features the film "How to forget", by Malu de Martinho, which features Ana Paula Arósio in the main role. The actress' character struggles to rebuild her life after the end of a romantic relationship with another woman.
