There's a film coming about the first trip of David Bowie (1947–2016) to the United States.

The independent feature film Stardust, produced in the United Kingdom, covers moments in the career of the legendary musician – and icon of sexual freedom – before creating his famous alter-ego “Ziggy Stardust”, an alien who comes to Earth, sometime between the end of the s 1960 and beginning of the following decade.

The character is the protagonist of the plot recorded on the disc The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (1972), one of Bowie's classics.

In the film, he is played by also a musician Johnny Flynn. This Thursday (16) the first video of Stardust, with a scene in which Bowie and his publicist, Ron Oberman (Marc Maron) talk about the difficulty of promoting a musician as eccentric as Bowie in the United States market.

The premiere date has not yet been announced; before the new coronavirus pandemic, Stardust had a confirmed presence at the New York Tribeca Film Festival.
