The outburst occurred after the young man found out about the transsexual's suicide Leelah Alcorn, 17 years old. And the letter she wrote, asking that her death "not be in vain" and that parents not be allowed to treat their children the way hers treated her – rejecting her transgenderism.

On social media, Stephen wrote: "Give this young girl the peace she deserves and work for the things she needed while she lived (…) If you can't deal with a trans child, don't have children," he said, stressing that Being trans is one of the possibilities.

The young man – who never talks about having received support or rejection from his parents – stated that he went through therapies in which prejudice was loud and warned: "If your therapist tries to convince you not to transition (gender), that is therapy of conversion. I survived conversion therapy and homophobia."

Stephen began transitioning at the age of 14 and unlike Leelah, who said she could never be loved, he told the trans community that it is possible to be happy in love. He says he's dating a boy. "I attract people who are not trans and I have a beautiful boyfriend. You will and can be loved and adored," he declared.
