Tanzania launches squad to hunt gays and LGBT communities

The entire gay community is in panic in Tanzania after the government called on citizens to report gays and announced that it will target the entire LGBT community on social media with an anti-gay squad.

The country's leader announced that he has a team of 17 people who will track social networks looking for homosexuals and LGBT communities, and also declared that he will “put a hand on them”. Makonda says he has received more than 5 complaints from the population and more than 100 names.

Since John Magufuli assumed the presidency, he has repressed the entire LGBT community. And in 2017 he closed several HIV treatment testing centers and ordered doctors and lawyers arrested on charges of “promoting sexuality”.

The country was in the news on several websites around the world, after the human rights community accused the government of carrying out forced anal tests to discover that a citizen is gay.
