The Flash superhero movie with Ezra Miller in the title role will introduce the concept of “multiverse” (simultaneous and parallel existence of more than one universe) to DC films, making the character meet Batman played by Michael Keaton in films directed by Tim Burton and released in 1989 (Batman) and 1992 (Batman Returns). The information is The Wrap.

According to the website, T will present the Batman played by Keaton 30 years after the events of the second film in which the actor gave life to the “Dark Knight” – and will not consider the following films, Batman Forever e Batman & Robin directed by Joel Schumacher (died this Monday, the 22nd), in its plot.

With the aim of going back to the past to prevent the murder of his own mother, Flash will accidentally create a parallel universe – in which we will see, once again, Keaton as Batman. The version of Batman played by Robert Pattinson in The Batman will not appear in T.

The film is scheduled to be released in 2022.
