The game The Last Of Us Part II, by Sony, was banned in the Middle East possibly because it contains a kiss scene between two female characters, others with nudity and violence.

According to the website Twisted Voxel, there is no promotional material for the game for the Middle East and PlayStation customer service confirmed to a player that the title will not be released.

Fans have speculated that the kiss between two women is a possible reason the release might not happen – because the brief gay kiss scene in the latest film Star Wars was cut in the version shown in cinemas in the United Arab Emirates and the Pixar animation Two Brothers: A Fantastic Journey It did not reach Middle Eastern cinemas because it had a lesbian character.

The Last Of Us Part II will be released on June 19th.
