Theo Becker says he lost space at Record because of “gay heartthrobs”

Last weekend, a tweet published on actor Theo Becker's profile on the digital platform caused controversy among internet users. Away from soap operas since 2008 (his last performance was in “Os Mutantes”), the artist complained about being kept in the “refrigerator” at Record because of “gay heartthrobs”. “Record insists on taking me off the air because I'm too macho for a station where all the heartthrobs are gay,” says the message posted on the social network. After negative repercussions, Theo Becker stated that his account was hacked and that he “would never say those words”. “They stole my password and are posting nonsense. I would never say those words, I was in church and I was taken aback,” he wrote.
