Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer confirmed for 'Call Me by Your Name' sequel

“Of course, it was a great pleasure to work [with the cast]. Everyone will be back in the new film,” he said recently, also referring to Michael Stuhlbarg and Esther Garrel.

“Before coronavirus, I took a trip to the United States to meet a screenwriter I love very much, and whose name I don't want to say, to talk about a second protagonist. Unfortunately, we had to pause [production due to the pandemic].”

Em Call Me By Your Name, Chalamet and Hammer played Elio and Oliver, respectively, who experience summer love in the Italian countryside in the 1980s – an affair that marks them both forever.

The feature film was a huge success with audiences and critics and was nominated for an Oscar in several categories, having won for adapted screenplay. The film is based on the book of the same name by André Aciman – who has already written the sequel, Meet me, released in 2019, in which both characters meet again after many years apart.
