Taking off her clothes and defending gays, Madonna turns 54; remember facts from the MDNA tour

This Thursday, August 16th, Madonna turns 54 years old. About the singer, almost everything has already been said. However, it always comes back to the surface, or rather, it never stopped being in the spotlight.

Be it because of her relationships, her plastic surgery, her thinness, her adoration for Kabbalah, the launch of her brand, whatever. Does Madonna always find a way to be in the media, or is it the media that is always after Madonna?

What is known is that, in the 80s or now, the singer never stops making waves. This is what makes Madonna who she is: the Queen of Pop. A title that was reinforced by herself at the opening of the SuperBowl.

In her performance, Madonna appeared with a beautiful crown, complete with an army of dancers. A clear response to new singers trying to catch up with her. There's a long way to go, she's still in power.

Another basic message to her possible "successors" took place during the show's rehearsal in Tel Aviv (Israel). The chosen one was Lady Gaga. During the classic “Express Yourself”, Madonna amended the chorus of “Born This Way”, which she claims was plagiarized from her song.

In the end, the queen of pop even provoked Gaga by singing “She's Not Me”. “She doesn’t have my name, she will never have what I have, it won’t be the same,” says the song.

This and other episodes are marking the MDNA tour, which arrives in Brazil in December. Between breasts and ass shown on stage, Madonna defended gay rights in Russia and showed that she doesn't need much to become a pop icon, just be herself.
