Assistant judge Luiz Nazareno Borges Hausseler, from the Children and Youth Court of Amapá, was responsible for a sentence that granted custody of a nine-month-old girl to the transsexual trader, Verônica Oliveira de Moraes.
To reach this decision, the judge declared that, "for legal purposes, Verônica is a woman. Furthermore, she has demonstrated zeal and responsibility in the daily care of the baby. Therefore, there is no legal impediment left", he highlighted.
This was not the first time that the judge judged cases of gays who want to be parents. He had already been in favor of the request to adopt a homosexual.
