Military police officers arrested a transvestite this Tuesday (14/8) near the Riacho Mall shopping center, on Estrada Parque Núcleo Bandeirante (EPNB). According to the PM, the transvestite, known as “Bruna”, was apparently under the influence of a narcotic substance. Witnesses, however, reported that she had become angry after being defaulted on by a customer. Out of control, she allegedly attacked the customer with the fire extinguisher and a tire iron. “The man ran to hide from her, as the transvestite is very strong. She couldn't catch him and broke his car”, says Sérgio Bautzer, deputy on duty at the 27th Police Station (Recanto das Emas), where the transvestite was taken after all the confusion. According to the delegate, agents from the Department of Roads and Highways (DER) thought that a traffic accident had occurred, because the car was stopped on the highway, and stopped the vehicle. The transvestite, also with a tire iron, attacked the DER car and ran towards Riacho Mall, destroying the cars along the way. Bruna broke the windows of three private cars. Based on reports from the military, the transvestite resisted the approach and also attacked two DER agents. She had to have her legs immobilized to get into the vehicle's cubicle. In the 27th DP, where she is in a separate cell awaiting the custody hearing, the transvestite allegedly offended the PMDF sergeants, calling the soldiers “monkeys” and trying to spit in the police officer's face, in addition to trying to attack him.
