The transvestite Paola, aged 40, was murdered on the 22nd, with at least 17 stab wounds, on Rua João Cândido do Câmara, in Jardim Central, in Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul. The crime was allegedly committed by 8 other transvestites and the reason would be a dispute over prostitution. According to the police report, witnesses say that two transvestites, identified as Rahine and Kimberly, arrived saying they wanted to talk to the victim. Still according to the witnesses' testimony, the two were accompanied by six other girls and, when Paola tried to move away from the group, she was attacked by the others with knives and iron bars. According to the police, Paola was stabbed 14 times in the back and three in the neck. The victim also suffered trauma from blows to the head. Residents of the region say that fights over prostitution spots are quite common. They also said in their testimony that at the time of the attack they ran and hid. The police went to the accused's residence, but they were not found. Paola died at the scene of the crime. An inquiry was opened to investigate the case.
