The actress and singer Lea Michele, loved by fans of the series Glee (Fox) for playing the protagonist, Rachel, was accused of racism on Twitter by a co-star, Samantha Marie Ware, who played Jane in the show's sixth and final season.

While large protests against racism take place across the United States, after a black man, George Floyd, was recently murdered by suffocation by a white police officer, Michele took a stance on Twitter regarding the case, supporting the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

“George Floyd didn’t deserve this. This was not an isolated incident,” he wrote.

A few days later, Ware “horned” her co-star. The actress wrote using all caps: “Laughing my ass off. Remember when you made my first television job hell? Because I will never forget.”

“I believe you told everyone that if you had the opportunity, you would 'shit in my wig'! Among other traumatic microaggressions that made me question my career in Hollywood,” he added.

The black actress Yvette Nicole Brown, who worked with Michele on the comedy series The Mayor (ABC), reacted. “I felt every one of those letters in all caps,” Brown said.

The topic soon became one of the most discussed on Twitter this Tuesday (2).
