It is common to see drawings of penises on bathroom doors, walls and notebooks. But what will a vagina be designed like? Or rather, what do gay men think a vagina looks like?
It was with this in mind that friends from San Francisco, California, challenged each other to draw female genitalia during a dinner. While one drew something absolutely grotesque, another made a beautiful but unrealistic drawing.

Afterwards, they decided to go to several gay spots and put up a box with a sign "Draw Vaginas Here". Some refused and others joined in on the fun of their friends, who even set up a Facebook and Instagram page with the works.
The joke got serious when they asked internet users for collaborations and managed to reach the $37 mark for the purpose of launching a book. The work with more than a thousand vaginas should be published next month.

The book is called Gay Men Draw Vaginas. "If you like thinking about vaginas, gay things and art", then this book is for you, said the creator Shannon O'Malley. Did you like it?
