Last Sunday (13), LGBT activists and protesters participated in the Walk Against Homophobia, in São Paulo. The demonstration continued from Rua Augusta to Largo do Arouche.

Taking advantage of the date, which also celebrates Mother's Day, many participants were accompanied by their mothers and called for the criminalization of homophobia.

According to Franco Reinaudo, coordinator of Sexual Diversity Affairs at the city of São Paulo, the main objective of the walk is to give "visibility to the violence committed against the LGBT population".
