Sales of sex toys have soared globally following widespread social distancing practiced by billions of people seeking to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus (Covid-19). The information is from the British newspaper The Daily Mail.

The Womanizer brand, for example, reported that revenues in the first half of this year exceeded all expectations. The company, known for introducing the clitoral sucker to the market, attributed the increase in sales to social distancing.

In Canada and the United States, Womanizer recorded an increase of 135% (!!!) and 75%, respectively, in sales of its toys.

In the country where the first Covid-19 outbreak occurred, China, the increase was 75% in Hong Kong. Also according to the report, in Italy and France sales exceeded expectations by 60% and 40%, respectively.

The Lelo brand reported that, in Spain, sales through its virtual store grew by 30% in March. Among the most purchased toys are vibrating rings, clitoral suckers and stimulation vibrators for couples.

At least we're having fun, right?
