The film “Verão em LA” (August), the first feature film by director Eldar Rapaport, premieres this Friday (23) in São Paulo at the hands of Festival Filmes.
“Summer in LA” features gay characters involved in universal dilemmas, such as relationships, life, career and the sacrifices that are made because of all of this.
“We all remember our past loves and dream of new ones with the same intensity”, explains Eldar, who also wrote the film’s script.
The film tells the story of the couple Jonathan and Raul, whose relationship is shaken by the arrival of Troy, Jonathan's ex, who returns to Los Angeles after years in Barcelona.
The reunion will change the trio's lives, making them define the choices they will make for love.
“This film is the fruit of that imagination with its tones, palpable heat and sweaty, sexy story of deep intimacy with refined acting, with these characters fighting their own conflicts and demons,” says the director.
The film opens in São Paulo this Friday and then goes to other Brazilian capitals. Watch the trailer below.
