Fun video from the Dutch Football Federation encourages players to come out of the closet; look

This Wednesday (31) the Dutch Football Federation launched a campaign calling for players to come out of the closet. The idea is that prejudice and homophobia on the pitch will decrease, encouraging athletes to embrace their sexuality.

A very humorous video was created for the campaign. In it, a player appears playing on the field and taking a shower in the locker room literally inside a closet. "Why not come out of the closet? Our team is on your side", says the video's message.

“Football players in the Netherlands are not examples for society because there are no openly gay or bisexual athletes,” the Federation said in a press release. The action also includes material for coaches, players, and even schools.

It is worth remembering that the country is one of the most advanced in the world on the issue of LGBT rights. The Netherlands was the first country to legalize gay marriage, back in 2001. The Amsterdam Parade is one of the most celebrated in the world and welcomes many heterosexual families to the event.
