Upset, the interpreter of Connor Walsh, a gay student and intern of Annalize Keating (Viola Davis), declared that answering the question would be reducing himself to a label.

"This seems reductive to me. This has no other purpose than to quench the thirst of curiosity. No matter what I answer, there will always be someone who will say: 'it's not true'", said the actor.

After the statement, the Huffington Post also asked why the actor refused to answer, and he said: "I was basically trying to say that, to me, it's like asking an actor who plays an alcoholic what his relationship is with alcohol. I think people think actors should be like their characters, when at the end of the day, this is just my job and I'm an actor playing a role on a fictional television show."

In the series, the actor has relationships with several men in exchange for information about murder cases involving his teacher's clients.
