“I lived through a period of darkness”, says Luiza Possi about rumors of romance with Maria Gadú

It doesn't seem like it, but Luiza Possi suffered when rumors began to emerge that she was having a relationship with Maria Gadú. At the time, the singer even moved from Rio and returned to São Paulo, to be close to her mother, Zizi Possi.

"I lived through a period of darkness. I passed by and heard people saying Gadú's name. I felt the prejudice in my skin", said Luiza in an interview with "Época" magazine.

The singer also said that she feared suffering the same thing as her mother, at the time of Zizi's relationship with Angela Ro Ro. “She fought so hard to detach everything that happened from her career,” she said.

Finally, Luiza said she would come out if she had a "gay conviction". "If I decided to marry a woman, have children, I would. However, there are things I do or happen in my private life that don't concern anyone," she concluded.

The singer's next work will be released soon. The album "Sobre o Amor e o Tempo" features songs that reflect this moment that Luiza went through and features compositions by Ana Carolina, Marisa Monte, Adriana Calcanhoto, among others.
