“I will launch a project to criminalize heterophobia”, says Jair Bolsonaro

As expected, deputy Jair Bolsonaro (PP-RJ) decided to appear graceful during the VIII LGBT Seminar, which took place this Tuesday (17), in Brasília. During his visit to the Chamber of Deputies, the congressman expressed his opposing view on LGBT issues.

Surrounded by journalists, Bolsonaro said he was not invited to the LGBT Seminar because there were no "men" leading the event. When questioned by the news report The Cape Regarding young gays attacked in schools, the parliamentarian was angry and said that the reporter was a "clown" for believing that this is a reality in the country.

"Young gays don't die because of homophobia in schools, they die exchanging needles in the streets. You only have to be a clown to believe it," declared Bolsonaro. Then, the deputy said that the federal government intends to teach pornography in schools.

Regarding his homophobic opinions, the deputy defended himself. "If defending family and good customs is being homophobic, then I'm homophobic. I'm even going to wear a t-shirt: proud to be homophobic," he said.

At the moment that Jair Bolsonaro began his attacks on the VIII LGBT Seminar, federal deputy Jean Wyllys (PSOL-RJ) asked for the doors of the Nereu Ramos auditorium to be closed. "We won't listen to those who just want to appear", explained Wyllys.
