X-Demented Check-In brings back the good old fervor of its cauldron at the Foundry

From the Lapa arches we could already see that the most famous label party in the country was taking place nearby: “X-Demente”. Fundição Progresso was surrounded with flags illustrating the “X”. It was 30/12, the date on which the traditional “X Demented Check In” takes place every year. Right at the entrance, receptionists dressed as flight attendants helped compose the text created based on the name of the party. A large banner with flight schedules and destinations, as well as airports, was hung behind those that welcomed the public who arrived at the Foundry to play. In the main space, screens surrounded the entire second floor. The traditional metallic cube structure, symbol of the X, was once again present in the gap that gives shape to the famous cauldron. DJ Ana Paula opened the track. She was beautiful, friendly and her vibe was up there. She played a set with a light tribal, fitting hits that drive the dance floor in the right measure and at the right time. She made the crowd jump, even with new songs, which, depending on the audience, already became a hit. The unusual DJ Eddie X takes over the X Demente booth. With his illuminated hands and a very well-worked body on display, Eddie delivered his sound in a confident and lively manner. Some of it has become a little monotonous. But overall, he was excited. So it was time for New York DJ Mike Cruz to take over X Demente. He did a nice, different tribal set, with his own style. Making the Foundry's cauldron, which was full, boil even more. In the morning, Mike finished his set to applause, sending remixes with very “Brazilian” beats, creating a carnival atmosphere. Annoyingly, it is worth mentioning the excess ice smoke, which ended up irritating the eyes and throats of the public on the main track, and the lack of bathrooms on the second track.
