Shoo Prejudice! “My Son Lady Gaga” puts on a show by addressing tolerance and respect for those who are different

The play tells the story of a poor Brazilian family in which the son leaves home to study ballet in France and years later returns working as an official cover girl for Lady Gaga.

+The Two and That Wall – With gay protagonists, the play presents an intense game of seduction

The piece reflects the family relations, Brazilian politics, minorities, homophobia, prejudice, class war, social inequality, xenophobia, corruption
even the famous “Brazilian way”. All this in a light, fun and funny plot.

We do ACAPA We went to check out the piece and can sign off on everything that was said above. Without a doubt, the show guarantees a good laugh with its captivating characters and also promotes very pertinent reflection with its text full of good references. (Even Inês Brasil's memes were not forgotten).

The author's inspiration for writing this comedy of manners was the country's setting. There is nothing, absolutely nothing that is not said. "If it's a comedy, it can't be a pamphlet and if it is, it can't be a joke, therefore, the whole story is mixed with existential and everyday reflections", says Genes.

Lady Gaga, dressed as one of the characters in the play and directly transported to the Brazilian scene, not only brings a lesson in morals and values, but also brings light, opens windows and helps us look into countless issues that in every way leave us standing still or lying in a splendid cradle. And this transport from the original to the character just says that we are looking for many paths to follow and it can be much more joyful and colorful and that the moral of this story comes from where no one would expect it to come from, always touching on very open wounds.

It is worth remembering that the show is not a musical or tells the singer's life story, but rather the author's intelligent mix of the pop star with current Brazilian politics and society.
