Desde a mais tenra idade, Desmond Napoles demonstra interesse pelo universo feminino. Ainda bebê, ele se enrolava em toalhas de banho, usava saltos, performava pela casa, entre outros. Por conta disso, sua mãe, Wendylou, acreditava que o filho fosse transgênero. A paixão por acessórios femininos, entretanto, não despertou em Desmond interesse por transicionar e realizar mudança de gênero, era, na realidade um prelúdio de seu futuro como drag queen. Aos 10 anos, o garoto natural do Brooklin, Estados Unidos, é um sucesso nas redes sociais, onde ele posta diariamente fotos e vídeos com roupas extravagantes e maquiagens “babadeiras”, fato que o fez criar o primeiro clube para crianças drags (@hausofamazing) no Instagram. Em seu perfil na rede social (@desmondisamazing) são mais de 17 mil seguidores de vários países, que enviam centenas de mensagens, agradecendo pela inspiração que a criança simboliza, e parabenizando pela coragem, conta a mãe de Napoles, Wendylou. “Pessoas devem ser livres e devem se expressar como querem, quando querem”, afirma Desmond, que reitera: “Vocês nunca vão me parar… eu sou o futuro!”.
