Durante a entrega do 11º Prêmio Cidadania em Respeito a Diversidade, que aconteceu na última sexta-feira (24), um dos homenageados foi o apresentador e jornalista Marcelo Tas, que em pleno “CQC” disse, em resposta ao deputado Jair Bolsonaro (PP-RJ), que tem orgulho de sua filha lésbica.
O apresentador não foi receber o prêmio, mas, em seu lugar, foi sua filha, Luiza Ataíde, 22, que após o evento bateu um rápido papo com a reportagem de A Capa. Na conversa que você confere a seguir, Luiza conta que ficou “muito orgulhosa” de seu pai e que gostou muito da atitude dele.
Luiza também fala sobre o episódio envolvendo o colega de trabalho de seu pai, o comediante Rafinha Bastos, que fez piadas sobre mulheres estupradas e que causou revolta em boa parte das mulheres brasileiras. Para a estudante, Rafinha errou na dose e foi “infeliz”.Sobre a relação com seu o pai, Luiza revela que nunca sofreu preconceito da parte dele e que está fora do armário desde os 15 anos de idade.
What was your reaction when your father took your photo on the CQC program and said he was proud to have a lesbian daughter?
I already knew he was going to do it. He wasn't going to take me out of the closet without talking to me, right? I was very happy, because he did it in a very funny way and the repercussion was very cool and generated a greater impact than I imagined. Many parents who had never talked about this before decided to talk. Some friends came to me to say that their parents thought my father's attitude was really cool.

Não, estava na aula. Depois vi pelo YouTube e me deu orgulho. Foi muito legal.
O seu pai trabalha junto com o Rafinha Bastos e este se envolveu numa polêmica ao fazer uma piada sobre mulheres estupradas. Você, que é lésbica e vítima de machismo e homofobia, como se sentiu com este episódio?
It was very unfortunate and there are things that just aren't funny. You can even make a joke, but it will be annoying and generate a reaction that is legitimate. There is a difference in censoring a joke and I believe that this should never be done, but there is a difference in that you are responsible for the language. He was unhappy with the joke and I think with time he will learn how funny something really is.
You said you are a feminist. Do you follow the policy linked to LGBT rights?
Eu trabalho com direitos humanos. Quando morei nos Estados Unidos trabalhei com algumas organizações feministas de lá. Então, tento acompanhar bem de perto as questões de gênero e de políticas públicas.
Are you living in Brazil?
Yes, in Rio. I lived in the United States until March of this year and now I'm back to finish college.
How was your coming out?
Saí do armário com 15 anos. Primeiro falei com a minha mãe e depois com o meu pai. Ele sempre foi muito tranquilo, nunca senti nenhum tipo de rejeição e nem senti que fosse algo que ele tivesse que aceitar. Ele sempre me apoiou e isso é algo que sempre me deixou orgulhosa.
