Faustão asks for more “tolerance” from the gay NGO

Presenter Fausto Silva commented this Sunday (28/06) on the letter sent by Toni Reis, president of ABGLT (Brazilian Association of Gays, Lesbians and Transgenders), where the activist criticized the way homosexuality is mentioned in "Domingão do Faustão".

In the document sent to the program's production team, Toni Reis warned about the consequences that LGBT people suffer as a result of homophobia and asked the presenter to contribute in a "civil and fun way" to the fight against discrimination against homosexuals.

Regarding the letter, Faustão commented that certain terms referring to homosexuals cannot be considered pejorative, since it is a live attraction and has humor as its main characteristic. The presenter also asked for a little more "tolerance" from ABGLT, as, according to him, it is not possible to "protest against all the jokes".

Faustão also took the opportunity to mock the letter sent by the NGO in the "Videocassetadas" section, which showed videos starring only dark-skinned women. "To prevent problems with the Association of Dumb Blondes, who can also complain to us, today's Videocassettes will only be with dumb brunettes", he said.
