Kieron Richardson

Kieron Richardson, from the English soap opera “Hollyoaks”, which airs on Channel 4, came out as gay live during the program “This Morning”.

The 24-year-old actor said that his friends and family know about his sexuality and that he decided to speak openly about the subject because his character in the soap opera will also come out of the closet. “I feel like the story is relevant to a lot of situations in my life and maybe I can help people who are going through the same things I went through, and that's a bonus,” Richardson said.

In the soap opera, the character Ste will kiss drug dealer Brendan Brady, played by Emmett J. Scanlan, during a night of drinking. At first, the drug dealer will reject the boy, but then the pair begin a violent affair.
