There were more than 20 thousand votes between August 2007 and March 31st of this year and next Tuesday (29/04) the DJ SOUND Magazine awards ceremony will take place, honoring the main DJs of the most varied styles and of course , including those who liven up the tracks at GLS parties.
Djs Magal, Renato Cecin, João Neto, Paulo Pringles, Robson Mouse, Paulo Ciotti, Ana Paula [RJ] and Pacheco, among others competing in the "Highlight Dj GLS" category. The gay club The Week competes as "Destaque – Casa Noturna" alongside D-Edge, Clash and Cabaret. The award also features awards for international highlights such as Beyoncé, Akon and Rihanna, in the "Highlight R&B" category and Bob Sinclair in the "International Dance" category.
The award has a total of 34 categories such as best Dj in House, Progressive, Trance, Techno, Drum&Bass, Dance, Black Music, and has been promoted annually by the magazine since 1992. The intention is to value the scene that involves nightlife such as DJs, producers, artists, audio and lighting professionals, audience, style, behavior, and of course the Brazilian and international electronic music phonographic market.
