Xuman – Golden Age

Xuman is the nickname of Russian indie electro-rock singer and musician Alexander Xuman who began experimenting with music at an early age. He made recordings of his father's guitar and his brother's voice with a small tape recorder.

Influenced by different genres of electronic music: house, minimal techno, electro, IDM Alexander performed as a DJ in many clubs, in Russia and abroad, and released several tracks and remixes.

In 2007, he realized that rock aesthetics were as important to him as dance culture and that's when he mixed the two in his Xuman project. As he had created the independent label Xuman Records, he launched the project with the "EP Panic" in 2010. Three remixes accompany the EP plus the track "Sense Of Height".

In addition to his solo project Xuman, Alexander also participates in the electro trio "The O" and the rock band "Camel in Space".

In 2011 he released the album "Golden Age", of Pop Rock, Synth-pop and Indie Rock. "Panic" entered the album with ten more tracks. Formed by Alexander Xuman (vocals and keyboards), the shows are supported by Igor Babko (guitar and vocals), Dmitriy Vinnikov (drums) and Ruslan Gadjiev (bass). The band's sound is compared to Mew, MGMT and Royksopp.
